What to expect before you book
DayDreamer Domes has 19 domes spread across 150 acres just outside South Haven. The domes are heated and air-conditioned and open year round, and the space between them keeps a quiet evening quiet.
To be clear about who else you may meet: children are welcome to stay in the domes, so this is not an adults-only resort. The Pool Club is seasonal and 21+ on weekends during the season, and it next opens May 22, 2027. Outside pool season, build the weekend around the spa, the fire pits, the trails and the beach.

Mind the time change
Chicago runs on Central Time and South Haven on Eastern, so your clock jumps ahead an hour once you cross into Michigan. The drive is about two hours, so as a rough example, leaving Chicago at 3 PM puts you here around 6 PM local time, depending on traffic. Check traffic before you go.
Friday: arrive and stay put
Find your dome, settle in and keep the car parked. Browse the on-site menu ahead of time, then take dinner out to a fire pit and let the evening run long.
Saturday: spa, then the lake
LUNARA spa is on the property, so book treatments in advance, before you drive. In the afternoon, Lake Michigan beaches and downtown South Haven are a short drive away.
Sunday: an easy exit
A slow morning, a walk on the trails, then back on the road west. You get the hour back on the way home.

Dinner, the spa and the lake
The restaurant is on site, so dinner never needs a drive. Browse the menu before you arrive.
